But while these tools of another era have lost their utilitarian value, they have gained another power

Their fragile beauty connects us to a previous time, to memories of shared kinship

For who hasn't said - my grandmother had one of those

                                   my great aunt taught me with that

                                   I helped my grandfather use one​

These sentiments keep us connected
